Response to “Time to overhaul lobola in line with modern trends” Traditional chiefs should take one side; either they want traditional culture or European culture. If they can’t afford to let go of lobola then, they must not let go of the traditional duties of a woman as before the bill. Simple. — thembalani Shoko.

Response to “ZITF first major regional showcase under Covid-19”
Covid safety is so important as many people have passed away. I am happy to see that trade fairs are underway with consideration of the virus. Zimbabwe has the ability to be a hub of the region and it is amazing to see that they are striving for that. — Maxwell Nyika.

Response to “Merkel blazes trail for women
politicians in Africa” Angela Merkel has without a doubt been one of the most influential women in the world over the past decade. My own daughters look up to her and strive to “be the boss of the boys” no matter what: they are 9 and 12. I hope that more women in the future have the same vision and drive as her in the nation of Zimbabwe and all over the world.— Mo.

Response to “Anti-sanctions fight a gear up”
Cde Editor, the continued ratcheting of pressure against the sanctions is timely and welcome. The Western neo- colonial nations that support and continue to impose sanctions should allow our economy to recover fully. Any person who reads even A Level economics can see how sanctions are the major cause of our economic squeeze. Down with the sanctions! — Cde Mzvinavhu.

It is so important that publications like The Herald maintain such a strong voice against these sanctions, they are not only immoral, but should be illegal at this stage. God bless Zimbabwe and its people as we battle these sanctions. — Penance Pasipanodya.
