DON’T TRUST, LISTEN TO UPND-NAKACINDA

- By NATION REPORTER

THE UPND government should not be trusted or listened to anymore because they failed to honour its promises of providing free education up to university level, buying maize from farmers at K250 per 50 kilogram bag and delivering farming inputs to them on time, says Raphael Nakacinda.

Mr Nakacinda who Patriotic Front (PF) Member of the Central Committee said the ruling party should never be listened to or trusted because it was a Government that formed Government on lies.

Speaking when he drummed up support for PF Lusangazi council chairperson by-election candidate Patrick Banda in Lusangazi at the weekend, Mr Nakacinda urged people of Eastern province not to listen to the UPND anymore because the ruling party had allegedly failed to fulfill most of its campaign promises.

He said the UPND Government had failed to honour its promises of providing free education up to university level, buying maize from farmers at K250 per 50 kilogram bag, and delivering farming inputs to them on time.

“Don’t listen to them because they have completely failed to honour their promises of providing free education up to university level, buying maize from farmers at K250 per 50 kilogram bag, and delivering farming inputs to you, farmers on time,” Mr Nakacinda said.

Mr Nakacinda said these were clear demonstrations that the UPND had failed to outdo former President Lungu's achievements he scored while in office. He said the UPND was likely to be in power for only five years because of the way it has disappointed most Zambians and urged people of Lusangazi District to mark beginning of the UPND's downfall by voting Mr. Banda as their council chairperson.

He urged the residents not to repeat the mistake they made in the August 12, 2021 general elections by giving the ruling party a lot of votes.

He said Mr Lungu had embraced everyone in his leadership style but Zambians were now crying because the nation was going in a wrong direction.

He said the former Head of State followed late President Michael Sata's vision of robust infrastructure development especially construction of roads linking Zambia to enable ordinary people like farmers have smooth delivery of their produce to the market.

Mr Nakacinda said former President Lungu ensured that his government took health services to the people as close as possible and cited construction of the state-ofthe art Kalindawalo teaching hospital in Petauke district as one of such achievements.

He said Mr Lungu also built modern schools all over Zambia and that people of Eastern province benefited from such initiatives by having the ECL technical secondary school built in Petauke district.
