DESPITE having beaten Namungo FC 1-0 to redeem their chances of qualifying for the CAF Confederations Cup quarter finals, Nkana have threatened to report the Tanzanian club for the poor reception endured before the match which was delayed by an hour.

Nkana coack Kelvin Kaindu said he was not happy with the behaviour of the Tanzanians who have always been a pain in the neck for visiting clubs.

Kaindu said he had to make changes three times to his squad due to the delay to release Covid-19 results by the Tanzanian Health Authorities who were releasing the Covid-19 results in batches.

He said the team was compelled to train in a parking lot as they awaited Covid clearance before the match.

Kaindu said the game was played under very difficult circumstances and was delayed by an hour because the authorities in Tanzania delayed to produce the Covid-19 results on time.

“We are not the first club to complain about the bad reception in Tanzania, all the teams that have been coming here they have been complaining but we will wait to see what kind of a report will be given to FIFA but honestly we are not happy and we will be launching a complaint to FIFA,” Kaindu said.

Kaindu urged Tanzanian clubs to emulate the North African clubs which he says have been professional and do not engage in mind games.

Despite having complained bitterly about the poor reception in Tanzania, Kaindu hailed his charges for putting up a spirited fight which saw them humiliate their tormentors on home soil.

A lone goal from Diamond Chikwekwe ensured that the Kitwe giants bounced back from five consecutive defeats to leave Tanzania with the valuable three points.

After the win in

Tanzania, Nkana moved to third in Group D with three points, three points behind second-placed Pyramids FC and six points behind Group B leaders Raja Casablanca who are on nine points.
