Teqball, Judo masks Chief Chamuka
TEQBALL Federation of Zambia in partnership with Zambia Judo Association (ZJA) have donated 1, 000 reusable masks to Chief Chamuka of the Lenje people of Central Province to be given to the underprivileged children in schools. Teqball president Dickson Jere and ZJA president Alfred Foloko yesterday made a joint donation to Chief Chamuka as part of their contribution to the fight against Covid-19 ahead of the re-opening of schools on Monday for learners in examination classes. The two sports organisations have each contributed 500 reusable masks to the Chamuka chiefdom. And speaking during the presentation, Jere said his association worked with ZJA to help in curbing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. “Teqball and the Zambia Judo Association of Zambia have embarked on a vigorous campaign against Covid-19 by putting resources available for the underprivileged communities and athletes in various parts of the country,” Jere said. Meanwhile, Foloko reaffirmed sports federations’ commitment to supplementing the overnments’ efforts to stop the pandemic. “As sports leaders, we have joined G overnment and other stakeholders in fighting Covid-19 and we shall do so through sports,” Foloko said. He praised Chief Chamuka for his stance taken to support the girl child in his chiefdom. And Chief Chamuka thanked the two sports bodies for the donation and choosing his chiefdom as one of the first beneficiaries of the Covid-19 prevention measures ahead of the reopening of schools for examination classes on Monday.
