ONLY the gullible fail to see the threat that Zambia is facing from outside forces using their internal cohorts to force regime change.

It is a well-oiled propaganda machine using the latest technology as well as the traditional tactics of using political fronts to cause internal dissent.

The campaign is premised on disparate causes ranging from natural phenomenon including drought that has affected electricity generation and maize meal price speculation. Not even the economy has been spared.

Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) president Andrew Ntewewe describes it as a plot to auction Zambia and its values.

How else for example could gay rights become a big issue among civil society organisations when the average Zambian treats it as taboo?

Mr Ntewewe said in an interview this was the reason constitution refinements were being fought tooth and nail so that they did not become a hindrance to hidden agendas being advanced.

Mr Ntewewe pointed out that the Christian nation clause and others in the Constitution Amendment Bill No. 10 of 2019 would be a big hindrance to agendas such as gay rights.

Just last week, Chinsali Patriotic Front Member of Parliament Kalalwe Mukosa disclosed that an American billionaire who is well known for funding instability and gay rights is the main funder of the sustained campaign aimed at regime change in Zambia.

Mr Mukosa appealed to the investigative wings to probe the funding.

Mr Mukosa said some anti-government organisations and media houses were spending colossal sums of money on the campaign but their sponsors were not known.

Mr Mukosa said there was an urgent need to expose the individuals bent on plunging the nation into turmoil by sponsoring illicit campaigns in Zambia through unscrupulous organisations.

It is a fact that these organisations are abusing the country’s liberalism to twist their messages in the hope of hoodwinking Zambians.

They are active on social media peddling lies. These are groups that we suspect are main beneficiaries of people like the American billionaire Mr Mukosa warned about.

Like Mr Mukosa, we feel there was an urgent need to expose the individuals bent on plunging the nation into turmoil by sponsoring illicit campaigns through unscrupulous organisations.

What the financier and his allies wanted, according to the sources, was to install a puppet government that will accept and embrace gay rights and indiscriminate administration of abortions especially to the youth under the guise of providing sexual and reproductive health services.

Mr Ntewewe for example explained that regime change had become top of the agenda of imperialists following a realisation that the current government would not fall prey to evil policies. So how do they go around this?

Fund their cronies to peddle sponsoring fake news.

No one can deny that never has Zambia been under such heavy bombardment of fake news coming from all fronts.

The key for Zambians however to defeat such evil machinations is to dismiss their lies with the contempt they deserve.

There is a legally elected government in place whose mandate ends in 2021. Until then, Zambians should dismiss those trying to usurp power through illegal means.

As Mr Ntewewe warned, Zambians who were entertaining the schemes of invisible funders with hidden agendas were slowly auctioning the country.

Zambia’s economic problems for example are not insurmountable. If anything, the austerity measures that Government has introduced should help steady the ship.
