Saturday July 2 DEMOLITION DERBY
WHEN: Gates open at 5 p.m., action starts at 8.
WHERE: Cocopah Speedway, 3450 W. County 15th St., Somerton GOING ON: A power wheels balloon derby for ages 4-7, a power wheels balloon round-up for 2-3 year olds, with water slides and water balloon tosses, followed by a demolition derby at 8 p.m.
COST: General admission, $10; kids 5 and under are free.

4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

GOING ON: The City of Yuma’s Fireworks Spectacular features live music from Radical Rewind and DJ – BMC Production, a Kids Zone, Food Vendors, Drinks, and a 20-minute Fireworks Spectacular Show featuring more than 750 fireworks shells/effects.

GOING ON: The City of Yuma’s 11th annual Back to School Rodeo is a family-friendly event providing the necessary school supplies kids need! The event is a drive thru where you will pull up to the front of the Yuma Civic Center and receive a backpack filled with school supplies. The first 2,000 children will receive a FREE synch style backpack filled with school supplies! (Child must be present. One backpack per child.)
