GENTRY — Jane M. Ryan, 28, of Siloam Springs, was arrested in connection with domestic battering in the third degree, a Class A misdemeano­r, related to an incident in Gentry on Jan. 5 in the 700 block of W. Benton Street.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Ryan is alleged to have come to pick up her belongings from an ex-boyfriend and started taking everything. When confronted by the man, she is alleged to have hit him, scratched him and thrown him around the house.

Other Arrests Benton County Sheriff’s Office

Sara Eliza Ritter, 32, of 322 Maple Ave. in Decatur, was arrested Jan. 11 in connection with possession with intent to deliver methamphet­amine or cocaine, simultaneo­us possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug parapherna­lia and fleeing. Ritter was being held Jan. 11 in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Benton County Sheriff’s Office

Ashley Nicole McGarrah, 23, of 125 S. Byers in Gentry, was arrested Jan. 14 in connection with battery and terroristi­c threatenin­g. McGarrah was being held Jan. 14 in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Investigat­ions

Gentry Police Department is investigat­ing the theft of a 16-foot flatbed trailer from Spavinaw Stove Company on Gentry Blvd. The theft reportedly occurred on the night of Jan. 9 or the early morning of Jan. 10, according to police reports. Anyone with any informatio­n on the theft is asked to call the Gentry Police Department at 479736-8400.

Police received a report of thefts via PayPal transactio­ns in December 2018 to purchase two baseball cards from an individual who alleged himself to be in Michigan. The victim was referred to the FBI since the transactio­n was online and crossed state lines.
