Patsy Ann Plemons Davis, 81, Chattanoog­a

Patsy Ann Plemons Davis, of Chattanoog­a, passed away at a local health care facility. She was 81.

She was born October 25, 1935 in Fayettevil­le, Arkansas.

She was retired from the Chattanoog­a Free Press.

She attended Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by mother, Bill McConnell; father, Ellesse McConnell; Husbands, Charles S. Clark, Johnny Plemons, and James Davis; brothers, Donnie Ray, Bobby Joe, and Roy Drake; and a sister.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Diana (William) Layne, Steven (Cynthia) Clark, Ricky (Gina) Clark, Roger Plemons, and Robert (JoAnn) Plemons. 17 grandchild­ren and 20 great grandchild­ren. Special friend Jan Nelson and friends at Hardees.

The family received friends Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at the South Crest Chapel.

Funeral services: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel.

Burial: Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.

The family received friends Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville. She was 79. December 30, 2016. She was 62.

She worked many years for LaFayette Cone Company.

Shirley loved her kids, they were her world.

She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Nichols; parents, Benjamin Chapman and Lillie Murphy Chapman; sisters, Reo Crutchfiel­d, Bonnie Bennett, Marie Lanning, Joane Miley, Brenda Tate, and Judy Lanier; brothers, Wesley Chapman, Arnold Chapman, and Truman Chapman.

She is survived by her son, Mark Nichols; granddaugh­ter, Brooklyn Nichols; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the funeral home Tuesday from noon until time of service.

Graveside services: Crest-Lawn Memorial Park Tuesday, January 3 at 3 p.m. with Derek Nichols officiatin­g.

Mary Cannon Sutton, 83, Chickamaug­a

Mary Cannon Sutton, of Chickamaug­a passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She was 83.

She was born October 12, 1933 in Jakin, Georgia and moved to Walker County in 1989 where she remained the rest of her life.

She was a teacher for the Camden County School System for 31 years.

Mary was a member of the LaFayette First Church of God and an honorary life member of the Georgia Sheriff’s Associatio­n.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.T. Sutton; son, Daniel “Dan” Sutton; parents, Gaston Cannon and Ethel McKeller Cannon; and sister, Tina Davis.

Survivors include her sister, Geri Chambers; brother, Gaston (Deane) Cannon, Jr; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the funeral home Thursday from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Graveside services in the Garmony Cemetery Thursday, January 5 at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Douglas L. Douglas officiatin­g.

Glenda Jeannette Wilson, 74, Summervill­e

Glenda Jeannette Wilson, of Summervill­e passed away Wednesday, January 04, 2017 at Oakview Health and Rehabilita­tion. She was 74.

She was born January 12, 1942 in Trion, Georgia and worked as a door greeter at Walmart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Gilreath and Edna Fletcher Gilreath; brother, Larry “Joe” Gilreath; and sister, Betty Varner.

Survivors are daughter, Lezlie (Bill) Devine; sons, Mike Rogers and Todd (Connie) Rogers all of LaFayette; brother, Bill (Pat) Gilreath; 11 grandchild­ren; seven great grandchild­ren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebratio­n of Life service was held Saturday, January 7 at 11 a.m. in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Curry McClure officiatin­g.

Barbara Jean Hall Garrett, of LaFayette passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017. She was 83.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Garrett; daughter, Reta Peace; grandson, Jacob Peace; parents, Milbrey Hall and Alva Lee Hall; sister and brother-inlaw, Jenny and Jerry Schley.

Survivors are sons, Benny (Carole) Garrett, Charles (Melanie) Garrett, Gene (Stacey) Garrett, Ray (Leona) Garrett, and Stephen (Brandy) Garrett; daughter, Alvie (Kevin) Murray; brother, Wallace (Nancy) Hall; sister, Laverne (Dick) Banks; 13 grandchild­ren, 16 great grandchild­ren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the funeral home was Monday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Funeral services: Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Tuesday, January 10 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Damon Perry and Rev. Oscar Stapp officiatin­g.

Interment: McIntyre Cemetery.

Leona Kelton Cox Johnson, of Ringgold, died Thursday, January 05, 2017, in a local hospital. She was 86.

She was retired from Industrial Tool and Supply and attended East Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Erma Kelton; a sister: Neoma Jewett, a brother: Eugene Kelton, her husband: William Cox, and a granddaugh­ter: Megan Knight.

She is survived by a son: Bill (Julie) Cox, Ringgold, two daughters: Marsha (Paul) Knight, Ringgold, and Terri Owens, Chattanoog­a, and grandchild­ren: Ashlee Owens, Aaron Owens, Adam (Aubry) Knight, Katie and Emily Ridley and 1 great-grandchild: Calvin Knight.
