Top wagering picks for college football Week 7 based on lines from Tipico Sportsbook:

Auburn (4-2) at No. 19 Arkansas (4-2)

Both teams are coming off tough losses entering this matchup; Arkansas lost a 52-51 thriller to Ole Miss while Auburn fell 34-10 to new No. 1 Georgia. The Razorbacks have an excellent 5-1 record against the spread (ATS); the only game they didn’t cover was against Georgia. (Sensing a theme?) Both teams’ offense and defense are top-40 in terms of yards per play this season, but we’ll side with Arkansas’ home-field advantage in what should be a tight game.

Pick: Arkansas -3.5

Iowa State (3-2) at Kansas State (3-2)

Iowa State’s defense will be the best unit on the field; its 4.7 yards allowed per play allowed ranks fifth in the country. The offense has been no slouch either (6.7 yards per play) and the Cyclones are coming off a 59-7 thrashing of Kansas last week. The Wildcats are 3-1 at home, but they’ll likely take a second straight loss against a more talented Cyclones squad.

Pick: Iowa State -6.5

Nebraska (3-4) at Minnesota (3-2)

Nebraska’s season hasn’t gone as planned, but it’s still 4-2-1 ATS and narrowly missed an upset of No. 7 Michigan last week (32-29). Minnesota’s offense has struggled to move the ball (334.2 yards per game) and score points (24.4 points per game). Look for QB Adrian Martinez to be the difference here as Nebraska should score enough to cover a tight spread.

Pick: Nebraska -3.5

Pittsburgh (4-1) at Virginia Tech (3-2)

Virginia Tech’s offense ranks worse than 100th nationally in yards per play, and while starting QB Braxton Burmeister should play, he’ll do so with a banged-up shoulder. Pittsburgh’s high-powered offense is fueled by QB Kenny Pickett, who has a 19/1 TD/interception ratio and is averaging 10.3 yards per attempt (fourth in the nation). The Panthers are coming off a bye and are 4-1 ATS, while Virginia Tech is coming off a close loss to Notre Dame and is 2-3 against the number.

Pick: Pitt -4.5
