BALTIMORE RAVENS AT DENVER BRONCOS

-

Thursday night uThe line: Broncos by 71⁄2 uLast meeting: The Ravens upset the Broncos 38- 35 in the second overtime in the AFC divisional playoffs Jan. 12. Ravens QB Joe Flacco stunned the Denver faithful by throwing a 70- yard touchdown pass to Jacoby Jones with 31 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

Streaking: Baltimore has won its last five season openers. ... Including the playoffs, Flacco is 3- 1 against the Broncos with six touchdown passes and one interception.

Elvis back in the building: Ravens DE Elvis Dumervil begins life with a new team in the city he recently left. But another move that could pay dividends is rushing from the strong side, something Dumervil excels at but didn’t get to do much with Von Miller as a teammate the previous two seasons in Denver. Dumervil’s new pass- rush partner, Terrell Suggs, is past the Achilles tendon injury that hampered him in 2012. Suggs will bring heat from the weak side.

Broncos center of attention: Manny Ramirez, a guard in his first five seasons, will make his first career start at center. He’ll need to make line calls in the Broncos’ hurryup offense and keep QB Peyton Manning upright — all with four- time Pro Bowl NT Haloti Ngata bearing down on him.

Need to know: In his career, Manning is 7- 2 against the Ravens in the regular season with 18 TD passes, five interceptions and a 103.0 passer rating ... WR Torrey Smith, who beat Champ Bailey ( foot) for two TDs in last season’s playoff win, likely will be matched up against Broncos free agent signee CB Dominique Rodgers- Cromartie with Bailey officially being ruled out.
