FORT SMITH - Kenneth Albert Adney, 77, of Fort Smith passed away on June 29, 2024. He was born January 6, 1947 in Rock Springs, WY, to Jim and Maxine Adney. Ken was an insurance agent for 52 years. He was a member of Community Bible Church and a follower of Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Kathryn Sue Adney.

Ken is survived by his daughters, Aimee Billings and husband Brett Billings, Emily Moore and husband Brian Moore, Amber Jackson and husband Jeff Jackson; his nine grandchild­ren, Zachary Hartsfield, Haley Rorie, Benjamin Moore, Mathew Moore, Jackson Moore, Brialy Moore, Lilly Moore, Tyler Jackson, Sophia Jackson; and two sisters, Barbara Smith and Bonnie Turner.

Ken was past president of the Fort Smith Independen­t Insurance Associatio­n and served the Associatio­n in other capacities for several years. He achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor (C.I.C) designatio­n in 1983. He was also a past president of the Exchange Club in Fort Smith and owned Adney Insurance Agency. He was a long-time leader in Bible Study Fellowship and held various positions in his church throughout his life. Ken lived life with enthusiasm, loved to be with his friends and family, enjoyed tennis, golf, snow skiing and basketball. He loved music, both playing and listening. His true passion, though, was his family.

A Celebratio­n of Life for Kenneth A. Adney will be held on July 6, 2024, 3:30 PM, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
