American Canyon High softball team beats Napa

The American Canyon High softball team knocked off Napa 9-4 on Tuesday in Vine Valley Athletic League play.

Raegan Jackson had a homer, triple and two RBIs for the Wolves (13-5, 6-1). That was her eighth homer of the season.

Jaida Fulcher had a homer and two RBIs and also picked up the win in the circle, allowing four runs, but only one earned. She fanned three. Angelia Rodriguez was 2-for-2 with a double and Alexis Abalos and Delia Lobao were both 2-for-4. Lindsay Feinberg also had a double for American Canyon.

The Wolves are at Casa Grande on Thursday.

Boys tennis

BETHEL 6, RICHMOND 1 >> The Jesse Bethel High boys tennis team beat Richmond 6-1 on Tuesday in the TriCounty Athletic League regular season finale.

Elijah Ibay, Andrick Espinosa, Justin De Jesus, and Marvin Gloria swept the singles potion of the match.

In doubles the teams of Bruce Bande/Henric Duropan and Mykyle Abesamis/Keith Norwood won in straight sets. The No. 1 team of Sir William Fischer/Daniel Feria fell 0-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Badminton

HERCULES 10, VALLEJO 7 >> The Vallejo High badminton team fell to Hercules 10-7 on Tuesday in Tri-County Athletic League play.

In boys singles, Ruben Dapililla beat Justin Sayasinh 21-16, 21-19; John Paul Gutierrez beat Collin Kuang 21-11, 21-9; Reynard Nevada knocked off Carter Munios 21-16; 22-20. Ricky Dumag Jr. beat Jadon Melurio 14-21, 21-11, 21-14.

In boys doubles, the teams of Gutierrez/Ruben Dapikilla (21-14, 21-11); Rodonel Escobar/Brandon Palting (18-21, 23-21, Hercules forfeited the third set) and Kyle Mabasa/Christian Cagampang (21-19, 21-13) all won.

College baseball

SOLANO 5, LANEY 4 >> The Solano College baseball team edged visiting Laney 5-4 on Tuesday in Bay Valley Conference play.

The game was tied 3-3 in the fifth before Austin Menesini had a sacrifice fly and then Eli De Guzman (2for-4) had an RBI single for the Falcons (10-22, 7-9).

Nico Castrillo was 2-for-4 and hit a homer for Solano. Jason Pridy was 3-for-3 with a double. Jaxson Bates had a triple. Richard Measley went all nine innings on the mound, allowing 11 hits and four runs, three of those earned. He fanned five.

The two teams meet Thursday at Laney.
