Northern Burlington drops consolation game at holiday tournament
MANAHAWKIN >> The Northern Burlington High girls’ basketball team stayed close to Egg Harbor Township for the better part of three quarters before the Eagles pulled away for a 46-30 win Thursday in the consolation round of the Score at the Shore Tournament at Southern Regional High.
Haylei Archer scored 12 points to keep the Greyhounds close until Egg Harbor finished the game with an 18-9 closing run.
Northern returns to Southern
Saturday to play Pemberton in the tournament’s 10 a.m. seventh-place game. The Hornets dropped a 61-44 decision to the host school Thursday.
