Kyran Dormer of Hamilton Square

Kyran “Mike” Dormer, 77, of Hamilton Square, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Hopewell.

Born in Shamonkin, PA, he resided in Hamilton Square for the past 55 years. He worked for a number of years at Phelps Dodge Corp., Dayton, NJ, American Biltrite, Hamilton, NJ and retired after 20 years of service from the Naval Air Warfare Center in Ewing, NJ.

Kyran was a longtime member of St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church and was a friend of “Bill W’s” for the past 36 years. He loved all things mechanical and the challenge to keep them running.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lois M. Dormer; three sons and daughter-inlaws, Michael and his wife, Lee, Mark Dormer and Matthew and his wife, Angela; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square NJ 08690.

Cremation will be private.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 a.m. and on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made in Kyran’s memory to St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church by visiting In Memory Of at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
