The following is a condensed list of incidents that occurred in the town of Taos.

FEB. 24

1:48 p.m. Welfare Check, Paseo del Cañon – Multiple callers said a man with baseball cap was lying on the ground seemingly in pain. He was highly intoxicate­d and taken to Holy Cross.

3:59 p.m. Obscene/Threatenin­g Phone Call, Loma Parda

Apartments – Caller said she is an elderly woman and had been receiving threatenin­g phone calls from an unknown caller and didn’t know how to make it stop.

4:09 p.m. Informatio­n Report, Centinel Bank – Caller said an elderly woman was trying to withdraw $4,000 because she said someone was holding her son hostage.

FEB. 25

8:15 a.m. Informatio­n Report, Kachina Lodge – Caller said he overheard a couple fighting in the room next to him and the man would not stop hitting the woman. 10:32 a.m. Welfare Check, Gusdorf Road – Caller said she hadn’t spoken with her grandfathe­r in three years and wanted to make sure he was okay, but didn’t want him to know she was calling.

6:23 p.m. Trespassin­g, King Mortgage – Caller said a homeless man looked like he was about to set up camp and had urinated on the wall.

FEB. 26

2:36 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Loma Parda Apartments – Caller said a woman in a neighborin­g apartment was making lots of noise. It appeared as if she was in the process of moving out.

4:25 p.m. Fraud-Forgery, People’s Bank – Caller said someone was making scam calls pretending to be Publisher’s Clearing House, and she had given her bank account informatio­n to the scammer.

5:31 p.m. Criminal Damage, Cielo Azul Apartments

– Caller said there was a tenant who was going around slashing tires.

8:49 p.m. Alcohol Offense, Gusdorf Road – Caller said she had drank four fifths of vodka and needed to go to the hospital.

FEB. 27

1:10 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Sagebrush Inn – Caller said her boyfriend was refusing to give her back her keys and was verbally abusing her.

2:03 p.m. Fraud/Forgery, Villa Maria Lane – Caller said she was scammed out of $550.

5:50 p.m. Public Health Order

Violation, Allsup’s – Caller said a customer was refusing to put on a mask and arguing with the employees.

7:08 p.m. Suspicious

Circumstan­ces, La Posta Road – Officer reported there was a man hanging out on the corner of La Posta and Felicidad and had been there since the previous day.

FEB. 28

2:15 p.m. Harassment, Gusdorf Road – Caller said her neighbor was banging on the walls and she wanted an officer to check it out.

3:45 p.m. Pubilc Health Order

Violation, Bent Street – Caller said a woman threatened them and said COVID is fake and the Governor is going to jail, and pushed the caller after not being allowed in a store. 7:02 p.m. Assault, Walgreens – Caller said a drunk man attacked a homeless man and punched him in the face. The man resisted arrest and bit an officer. He was taken home by tribal police.

MARCH 1

8:50 a.m. Disturbing the Peace, Paseo del Pueblo Norte – Caller said a man was pacing up and down the street panhandlin­g and yelling at people.

10:46 a.m. Informatio­n Report, Nusenda – Caller said there was a hit and run at one of the ATM machines, and it looked like a car had scraped it.

10:55 a.m. Larceny, Paseo Plaza Drive – Caller said someone had stolen a chainsaw.

2:34 p.m. Kidnapping/Abduction, – Caller said he was thrown in the back of a truck. The individual was highly intoxicate­d.
