The Bull Run hosts networking event

SHIRLEY » North Central Massachuse­tts Chamber of Commerce will host a networking and trivia event at The Bull Run restaurant on Jan. 30.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. at the Great Road restaurant, and will feature appetizers and a cash bar. Trivia will kick off at 7 p.m.

Greater Lowell Community Foundation elects new board member

LOWELL » The Greater Lowell Community Foundation has elected Attorney Ryan J. Swartz to its Board of Directors. Swartz, of Reading, is an attorney and Trusts and Estates Department vice chairman at law firm

Mclane Middleton.

The attorney advises on estate planning matters, including estate, gift, income and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies. He also advises fiduciarie­s in conservato­rship, probate and trust administra­tion matters, and counsels on business succession planning and asset protection techniques, according to a GLCF news release.

“I am very pleased to welcome Ryan as the newest member of our Board,” GLCF President and CEO Jay Linnehan said in a news release.

“As a vice chair of the Trusts and Estates Department with the prestigiou­s law firm Mclane Middleton, Ryan brings a wealth of experience assisting clients with building and securing their legacies that will help the Foundation to be an asset for those who want to benefit our community,” Linnehan said.

Early voting for presidenti­al primary to begin next month in Pepperell

PEPPERELL » Early voting for the presidenti­al primary will take place from Feb. 24 to 28 at town hall. Votes may be submitted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Voting for the primary will be held on March 3 at Varnum Brook Elementary School from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Absentee ballot applicatio­ns can be requested at the town clerk’s office, or by calling 978433- 0339.

Veteran club coming to Littleton

LITTLETON » A new club is coming to town.

The Veteran to Veteran Social Club, hosted by Air Force veteran Hal Arthur, will open to veterans of all ages starting Feb. 13.

The club will meet the second Thursday of each month in room 233 at Town Hall.
