‘Shogun’ leads 2024 Emmys nominations

Your favorite shows could win big on Sunday during the biggest night in television.

FX’s “Shogun,” adapted from James Clavell’s novel of the same name, earned top billing with 25 nominations. The network’s restaurant dramedy “The Bear,” which released its third season last month, cooked up 23 mentions, setting a record for the most nominations by a comedy series in one year. Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” and HBO’s “True Detective: Night Country” trailed closely behind with 21 nominations and 19, respectively.

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards are slated to air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Fans can tune in to the show on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday. The 2024 Emmy Awards will be streamed on Hulu the day after the show airs.

Eugene Levy and Dan Levy of “Schitt’s Creek” are tapped to host, making history as the first father-son duo to do so, according to USA TODAY.
