Timothy Alex Strawn II, age 49, of Hot Springs, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He fought courageous­ly during a lengthy battle with lymphoma.

Tim was born on July 21, 1971. He was the eldest of five siblings. Tim was a doting uncle, loving big brother and beloved son of Alex and Barbara Strawn of Hot Springs.

Tim was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts, Joseph E. and Dorothy M. Rhodes of Hot Springs, and paternal grandparen­ts, Alex M.C. and Bonnie M. Strawn of Malvern.

Tim was a graduate of Lake Hamilton School and received a B.A. from the University of Arkansas Fayettevil­le and later attended Henderson in Arkadelphi­a, where he received a Business Degree.

Tim worked in San Jose, Calif., as a graphic artist for several years. He then moved to Dallas and worked for a game production company.

He was a talented artist, a children’s book author and a natural comedian.

Tim returned to Hot Springs and worked in property management as he restored a property once owned by his great-grandparen­ts.

In his youth, Tim was an active member and baptized at First Baptist Church Hot Springs.

Tim is survived by his brothers, Ben, sister-in-law Jessica and niece Indigo, and Jeremy, sister-in-law Grace; sisters, Rebecca, brother-in-law David Stone and nephew Arthur and niece Charlotte, and Elizabeth Strawn; aunts, Neta and husband Rick Coston of Magnet Cove, Diane Rhodes of San Antonio; large extended family; and a host of wonderful friends that gave him much love and comfort through their prayers.

A celebratio­n of life will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Lowe Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor John McCallum and Mike Pounders officiatin­g.
