Earth Angel
Residential and commercial trash collection are the responsibilities of the Solid Waste Department. The department also handles the disposal of appliances and other bulky items for residential customers through a program known as Clean, Attractive Property Service, or CAPS. It lends support to organized neighborhood cleanup efforts and is the site of a Regional Recycling Center.
Curbside residential recycling pickup of newsprint, aluminum cans, plastic No. 1 and No. 2, leaves, grass, shrub trimmings, tree limbs less than 3 inches in diameter and 3 feet in length and corrugated cardboard are also offered.
Due to the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, Solid Waste collection for residential garbage and recycling will be one day late — Monday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday’s route will be picked up on Wednesday, etc.
