Lakeside splits road matches at Texarkana

TEXARKANA — Lakeside managed to maintain its undefeated streak as the Rams knocked down Texarkana at Holiday Bowl.

The Rams (4-0, 3-0 5A-West) struggled in the road match, but they managed to hold on for the win, knocking down 2,216 pins to the Razorbacks’ 2,137.

Landon Gray led his pair with games of 206 and 169 for a

375 series. Jimmy Tejcek bowled games of 169 and 178 to take a

347 series while Kade Arguello finished with a series of 255

(131, 124).

Tyson Keeny finished with a 329 series after games of 118 and 211 to lead his pair. Hunter Rhodes fell just nine points behind with games of 137 and 183 while Kade Tarbet bowled games of 172 and 112 for a series of 294.

Girls

Despite bowling their best match of the season, the Lady Rams (2-2, 1-2) fell short against Texarkana on the road. The Lady Rams knocked down 1,721 pins, but Texarkana managed

1,955.

Destiny Phillips paced her pair with a series of 290 with games of 140 and 150. Paige Hines bowled games of 117 and

127 for a series of 244 while Abby Shelby finished with a series of 222 with games of 114 and 108.

Chloe Junkerman led her pair with games of 134 and 138 for a 272 series. Kaithlyn Nguyen finished with games of 120 and 137 for a 257 series. Jenna Simms bowled a 128 in the first game while Mary Dugger had an 82.

Both Lakeside varsity and junior varsity teams will play host to conference foe Benton today at 4 p.m. at Central Bowling Lanes.
