Wolves claim first in LH Relays

PEARCY — With the boys winning eight events and the girls winning five, the host Wolves claimed a clean sweep at the Lake Hamilton Relays track meet Tuesday at Wolf Stadium.

Lake Hamilton’s senior boys individual winners were Colby Swecker in the 1,600-meter run and

800-meter run, Knowledge Hood in the 400-meter dash and 200-meter dash, Haze Farmer in the pole vault and Ramon Morales in the 3,200-meter run.

Swecker completed the 1,600-meter run in 4:35.71 and the 800-meter run in 1:59.77. Hood earned the

400-meter dash win with a time of 50.96 seconds and the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.25 seconds.

Farmer cleared 16 feet to win the pole vault and Morales finished the 3,200-meter run in 10:24.19.

The Wolves also claimed first place in the

4x800-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay, finishing with a total of 172 points after 17 events.

Camden Fairview finished second with a total of

121.66 points and Nashville was third with a score of 107.5. Lakeside earned 69 points for fourth place, followed by Hot Springs with 47 and Fountain Lake with 42.

Taylor Gilham earned 16 points for Lakeside with a second place finish in the long jump and fifth place finish in the high jump.

Dupree Swanson added 14 points, finishing second in the shot put and third in the 110-meter hurdles, while Keelan Fleming earned 10 points with a fourth place finish in the 200-meter dash and fifth place finish in the 100-meter dash.

Fountain Lake was led by the duo of Ahman and Parion Johnson. Ahman Johnson won the long jump, clearing 20 feet, 5.5 inches and finished fourth in the

300-meter hurdles.

Parion Johnson ran a blazing

11.28 seconds to claim first in the

100-meter dash, while also finishing fourth in the 400-meter dash and long jump.

Eric Porter led the way for Hot Springs with 20 points, finishing third in the 400-meter dash and second in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. Tyrese Jenkins finished second in the high jump and sixth in the triple jump to earn 11 points for the Trojans.

Lake Hamilton’s senior girls individual winners were Edie Murray in the pole vault and

200-meter dash, Baylee Jenkins in the 400-meter dash and Josie Carson in the 800-meter run.

Murray cleared 13 feet, 0.25 inches to claim the pole vault and ran the 200-meter dash in

27.26 seconds. Jenkins finished the 400-meter dash in 1:05.54 and Carson won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.81.

The Lady Wolves also won the 4x800-meter relay, finishing with a total of 232 points. Benton was a distant second with 143 points and Sheridan third with 117 points.

Lakeside’s senior girls finished fifth with 25 points, followed by Hot Springs with 19 points.

Teiara Gordon earned 10 points for the Lady Trojans with a first place finish in the high jump, clearing a distance of five feet. Gordon also competed with A’Yannah Jefferson, Ashanti Hickman and Curnesha Johnson on the 4x400-meter relay team, which earned five points for Hot Springs with a fourth place finish.

Emily Milbourn racked up

12 points for the Lady Rams with third place finishes in the

1,600-meter run and 3,200-meter run, while McKaila Davis added nine points, finishing fourth in the 800-meter run and fifth in the

1,600-meter run.
