Letters to the editor
The world’s police force Dear editor:
Defense of the nation has been entrusted to the millions who saw the movie “Red October.” The official military has been occupied as world policepersons.
The government specialists recognize the defensive value of the current situation. Therefore, the lame “solutions” offered so far.
Rat (sic). Now is the time to organize the potential partisans under the auspices of state militias.

850 characters Remember the draft? Dear editor:
I am 78 years of age and must be the only one who remembers when our nation had the military draft.
My brother had a 4-F classification. The Vietnam War started and he was changed — reclassified and sent to Vietnam.
After six months, he was shot by a sniper and died immediately!
Many dodged the draft! Bill Clinton went to Canada and escaped! He became president!
Could our nation elect anyone lower?
Mrs. Sandra Huffman Hot Springs
