HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Hot Springs Concert Band will perform its annual Autumn Concert at 3 p.m. Oct. 9 in Woodlands Auditorium, 1101 DeSoto Blvd.

Sponsored by Community First Trust Company, the performance will be under the direction of Craig Hamilton. The band’s 80 members volunteer their time and talent, and musicians range in age from 16 to 90-plus.

The organization’s missions are to provide central Arkansas amateur and professional musicians of all ages with a structured organization in which to pursue their musical interests, to present high-quality live entertainment, to offer professional, financial, administrative and cultural support to smaller musical ensembles in the area, and to assist in the education of student musicians.

In a news release, HSCB President Charles Gilmore said, “The Autumn Concert is a fan favorite, and a fun way to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon. The musical selections we perform are always challenging and entertaining alike.”

This year’s show will feature a wide variety of music styles, from soft melodic ballads to exciting fanfares and marches.

Advance tickets are $12, and can be purchased online at http://www. hotspringsband.org or http://www. hsvticketsales.com, or in person at Crook’s Music Service, 2024 Central Ave., and at the Woodland’s box office. If available, admission will be $14 at the door.
