Moore defends CIMB Classic title
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Ryan Moore successfully defended his CIMB Classic title, shooting a 5-under 67 on Sunday for a three-stroke win over fellow-American Gary Woodland for the second- straight year
Moore finished on 17-under 271 to become the first player to defend a title on the PGA Tour since 2013.
Sergio Garcia and Kevin Na shared a three-way tie for second with Woodland.
Woodland three-putted the last hole for a 67, reducing pressure on Moore as he claimed his fourth PGA Tour title.
Na led by two strokes early and was within a shot with two holes to play, but his hopes ended when he drove into a treetop on the 17th and took a double bogey.
Garcia did the same on the 10th hole and finished with a 69.
LPGA Taiwan Championship
TAIPEI, Taiwan — Inbee Park won the LPGA Taiwan Championship on Sunday for her third victory of the year and 12th career title, holding off Arkansas grad Stacy Lewis by two strokes at Miramar.
Six days after regaining the No. 1 spot in the world from Lewis, the South Korean newlywed closed with a 1-under 71 in light rain to finish at 22-under 266.
Park opened with rounds of 64, 62 and 69 to take a fourstroke lead over Lewis and China’s Shanshan Feng into the

Park won the Manulife Financial LPGA in June in Canada and took the LPGA Championship in August for her fifth major title. Last year, she swept the first three majors and won six times.
Charles Schwab Cub Championship

Tom Pernice Jr. won the Champions Tour’s season- ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship on Sunday, beating Jay Haas with a birdie on the fourth hole of a playoff.
The 55-year-old Pernice got up-and-down from the left bunker on the par-5 18th, holing a 6-foot putt after Haas made a 12-footer for par.
Pernice closed with a 3-under 67 — also making a 6-foot birdie putt on 18 — to match Haas at 11-under 269 on Desert Mountain’s Cochise Course. The 6-year-old Haas had a 66.
BMW Masters
SHANGHAI — Marcel Siem chipped in for birdie from the collar on the 18th green to win the BMW Masters on Sunday in a playoff against Alexander Levy and Ross Fisher.
Siem had a chance to win in regulation with an 8-foot par putt that he missed badly. He closed with a 73.
Levy had a four- shot lead going into the final round at Lake Malaren. He could not hold up in the 25 mph wind that made an easy week suddenly turn difficult.
