Rhodes is a 1978 graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, School of Law. He has been in private practice in Hot Springs and Garland County for more than 25 years. He is licensed to practice law before all Arkansas, Virginia and Hawaii state and federal courts, the 4th, 8th, 9th and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, the U. S. Bankruptcy Court, the U. S. Court of Military Appeals, U. S. Court of Veteran Appeals, the U. S. Tax Court, and the U. S. Supreme Court. A former Navy JAG, he retired as a lieutenant commander.
He is active throughout the community. He is also the founder and president of the Byron Cole Rhodes Family Foundation, a trust created to assist local civic and charitable endeavors.
