JOYCE “WELLS” KUGLER

CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON - Joyce “Wells” Kugler, age 92, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Delmar Center Rehab Facility. She was born on May 9, 1928 in Ballston Spa, NY, the daughter of the late Henry Wells and Martha Albertin Wells. Joyce was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School, class of 1946 and was a bookkeeper for Streever Insurance Agency in Ballston Spa for many years. She enjoyed card playing, going to the horse races, traveling and spending time with her family. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Judith Rappold; stepson, Richard Kugler; brother, Henry Wells; niece, Dorothy Pollock; grandchildren, Alfred Franz, Garrett Rappold, Joseph Rappold Jr., Bryan Rappold, Angela Caponigro, Lindsey & Rachel Kugler; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ava Rappold, Joelle Rappold, True & Jonah Rappold and many friends who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kugler, son-in-law, Joseph Rappold, Sr., and nieces, Joyce Zakrzawski & Patricia Allen. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Rte 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. Family & friends may call from 5 pm to 7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
