Dunkin’ donates $32,000 to children’s hospital
ALBANY, N.Y. >> Dunkin’ recently donated nearly $32,000 to the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med as the results of its Iced Coffee Day campaign.
During the one-day event on May 22, Dunkin’ franchisees donated $1 from every cup of Iced Coffee sold at participating Dunkin’ restaurants in the Capital Region to the children’s hospital.
“Dunkin’ is thrilled to continue to support the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med through our annual Iced Coffee Day program. This donation is a direct reflection of the community support engendered by the children’s hospital, which is so vital to children and families in need,” Dunkin’ integrated marketing manager Eric Stensland said in a press release. “I would like to thank all of our guests who joined us on Iced Coffee Day to help raise funds for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.”
Since its inception in 2012, Iced Coffee Day has now generated more than $245,000 for the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med. In addition, Dunkin’s Joy in Childhood Foundation previously granted $20,000 to support the hospital’s Child Life Program.
“Our team of medical specialists depends on the generosity of community partners so they can continue delivering the highest quality care to the children of our region,” said Barbara Ostrov, M.D., director of the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med, in the release. “We thank Dunkin’ for its years of dedicated support to our patients and their families.”
The Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med is a 125-bed facility devoted exclusively to the medical needs of infants, children, and adolescents and is the referral center for all seriously ill and injured children from 25 counties in upstate New York and western New England.
