Taking issue with Eugene Robinson column

“Clinton delivers a beatdown” ... were you watching the same debate? Nowhere in your article is the mention of Trump’s strong and accurate response to Clinton’s apology about her e-mail server.

In her very scripted response that you describe as “well prepared” she apologized, and then basically said “well that’s the end of that.” Trump very accurately told the world that there is apparently a lot more to do on the issue if the FBI is granting immunity to more and more people over the investigation. It is very apparent that there is a case to be made, but like the DNC hid the fact that they were working against Bernie, it is all very well protected. There is no reason to run around smashing blackberries and laptops with a hammer unless you are hiding something.

There are two more debates and hopefully they will not waste the public’s time with lengthy conversations about birther issues or tax returns. We have bombs going off on the streets of Manhattan,

Isis recruiting people over the Internet and riots (not protests) in many cities across the country. We have more and more racial division everyday. We have immigrants pouring over the border and our taxes rising all the time to pay for them ... and our presidential debates are not addressing these issues. Are you kidding me? So before Madam Secretary takes any more bows about her rehearsed performance, maybe we should hear her plan to handle these problems. But wait a minute. I don’t think that would matter anyway, because like Trump says “She has had years in the public service to do something. What makes us think she will suddenly do something now?

But, of course we won’t see this opinion published.
