The Fairfield Police Department wants the public to beware of a 34-yearold Fairfield man who has been arrested recently for a series of pellet gun and pepper spray offenses but has bailed out of custody twice and is considered a continued risk and threat to the Fairfield community.

A department press release Monday said that over the past two months patrol officers and investigators had determined Gregory Charles King was associated with six separate incidents, four of car windows being shot out and two in which victims were assaulted with pepper spray, with the bulk of the incidents occurring in and around the Wood Creek neighborhood west of Interstate 80.

“T hese incidents shocked many as some believed it was an actual firearm being shot at them,” the post’s author wrote, adding, “While it wasn’t an actual firearm, a pellet gun can still inflict serious injury or death.”

The post did not describe King’s physical appearance but posted a photo of him, along with two “known associated vehicles,” on Facebook.

The depar tment cited two reasons for notif y ing the public about King:

First, he is considered a risk and threat to the community “if he continues the same alleged behavior,” according to the post’s wording, which urged the public “to be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious behavior to the Fairfield Police Department; or the correct authority if in another jurisdiction.”

Secondly, officers and investigators may not be aware of other incidents that have occurred and the department encourages citizens to report them. If the report is new, call (707) 428-7300 and press 8. If you have already reported but haven’t been contacted by a detective, then call (707) 428-7600.
