Election night counts given

The results are in from Tuesday’s election, with seats on the Souderton Area School Board and local municipal boards up for election.

The following counts are unofficial ones from the Montgomery County website the night of the election.

Souderton Area School Board

With four four-year terms up for election on the Souderton Area School Board, incumbents Matt Holliday and Janet Flisak, who were on both the Democratic and Republican ballots, and Republican­s William Brong and Stephen Nelson won seats in Tuesday’s election.

Holliday received 7,444 votes and Flisak received 7,323 votes. Brong, an incumbent, received 4,509 votes, while Nelson had 4,446.

Democrat Stephanie Carmody had 3,346 votes, and Democrat Megan Monahan had 3,221 votes.

Franconia

In Franconia, incumbent Republican­s Charles Amuso, with 1,489 votes, and Grey Godshall, with 1,435, retained their seats for another six-year term. Democrat Doug Killough had 1,269 votes.

Lower Salford

In Lower Salford, incumbent Republican­s Douglas Gifford and Keith Bergman were unopposed on the ballot for two six-year terms on the Lower Salford Township Board of Supervisor­s. Gifford received 1,475 votes and Bergman 1,414.

Salford

In Salford Township, Republican incumbent John Baker defeated Democrat James Mast, 367 to 235, for a six-year term on the Salford Township Board of Supervisor­s.

Republican James Myers, who was unopposed on the ballot for a four-year term on the board, received 420 votes.

Souderton

In Souderton, Republican incumbent Mayor John Reynolds held the seat with a 629-534 victory over Democrat Dustin Wade for a four-year term.

In the first ward, Republican incumbent Richard Godshall, with 246 votes, and incumbent Democrat Ned Leight, with 222 votes, held their seats on Souderton Borough Council for another four-year term. Democrat Richard Kelly received 204 votes.

In the second ward, Democrat Matthew Mscichowsk­i, with 190 votes, defeated incumbent Republican Daniel Houser, who had 184 votes, for a four-year term on council. Also in the second ward, incumbent Republican Tracy Burke, with 191 votes, held the seat for another twoyear term; Democrat Julie Munden had 189 votes.

In the third ward, Republican­s Brian Goshow, with 192 votes, and Edward Huber, with 165 votes, defeated Democrats Donna Rogers, with 152 votes, and Nathan Miller, with 141, for two four-year seats on the council. Goshow is the current council president. Huber is currently chairman of the planning commission.

Telford

In Telford, Republican incumbent Mayor David Snook was unopposed on

the ballot for a four-year term. He received 225 votes in Montgomery County and 199 in Bucks County.

Democrat John Taylor and Republican­s Allan Arnott and Robert Baker, all incumbents, were unopposed for three four-year terms on Telford Borough Council. Taylor received 166 votes in Montgomery County and 176 in Bucks County. Arnott had 184 votes in Montgomery County and 182 in Bucks County. Baker had 195 in Montgomery County and 184 in Bucks County.

Upper Salford

In Upper Salford, incumbent Ted Poatsy, who was on both the Democratic and Republican ballots, was unopposed for a six-year term on the Upper Salford Township Board of Supervisor­s. He received 396 Republican votes and 225 Democratic votes.
