Americans need to put citizens first

There are more than 12,000 migrants streaming to our border, the fifth caravan within the last year. We face a crisis that Democrats call a manufactured crisis, created by President Trump. Our president took an oath to protect our country, foreign or domestic. Over the past 25 years, Democratic leaders, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have all voted for a physical barrier along our Southern border and all have pledged billions for walls and security.

Democrats didn’t have a problem secretly sending Iran $150 billion or another $65 billion to secure countries in the Middle East for their security. Now because President Trump is pushing for the wall, Democrats have completely ignored the burden illegal immigrants are putting on us taxpayers.

The new far-left socialist Democrats in Congress want open borders that invite drugs, human trafficking and more criminal elements. The resist movement of the left is all political with no concern for Americans who already pay $150 billion a year for sanctuary cities. The biggest problem is Chuck and Nancy hate Trump more than securing the citizens of this country.

Everything this president has accomplished, tax breaks, lowest unemployment in 50 years, booming economy, return of half a million manufacturing jobs, criminal justice reform and trade agreements that benefit our economy, has made Democrats jealous. They want nothing to do with his biggest primary promise, which was to secure our borders.

Pelosi call the wall immoral, unlike the multimillion-dollar wall around her own home. Democrats rushed to the border crying about children being separated from their parents. They all took photos with the crooked media right next to them. They seem to be missing now while thousands try to cross our border claiming this is only a manufactured crisis by President Trump.

The media is the real enemy of our country, biased and unfair since Trump has become president. They have had to backtrack many times on false reporting only to prove what most Americans know — they are unfair and crooked. You want immoral? Just look at what the new Democrats want, abortion laws passed that will kill babies right up to the last day.

They say separating children at the border is horrible and worthy of nonstop media coverage and Trump bashing, but separating a full grown baby at birth by abortion is moral. Not one minute of media coverage was on the recent New York state ruling. This country also considers the death penalty immoral, but one million babies killed per through abortion is moral?

Instead of Time magazine putting faces of illegal immigrants on their cover, I suggest they put the faces of those Americans killed by illegals or the children left behind and permanently separated . California police officer Ronel Singh would be a great choice along with his 2-year-old son.

All people in this country, left and right, politics aside need to look at this crisis and think America’s citizens first! Vincent Cirillo
