Admission is $20 per person – children under 12 are free. Trick or treat when you attend the State Representative Roundtable on Friday at NCCC Draper Hall at 7:30 a.m. All candidates from our region have been invited. Please attend the meetings with Ned Lamont on Oct. 22 at 11:30 a.m. and Oz Griebel on Oct. 24 at noon, both at the Chamber.

What a treat to hear good news at the CT Learns & Works Symposium, where Patrick Flaherty, the Assistant Director of the Office of Research for the Department of Labor, shared the data that sounds positive for employment throughout our region. No tricks about this important message.

Treat yourself to one or many of the programs planned by the Northwest Connecticut Young Professionals Organization. The purpose of the organization is to attract and retain young professionals to the region, while encouraging community service and professional development. No tricks scheduled by the energetic group. We are proud of the steering committee for building momentum and enthusiastically supporting this corner of the state. Call us for more details.

No trick to read the results of the survey of businesses in Northwest Connecticut. While our region’s economy is enduring the same challenges as the rest of the nation, the survey reflects the positive forces at work in our corner of the state. You will be treated to the results on Nov. 15.

It is not even scary that in times like this we are working harder and smarter. Despite the challenges, our conviction remains firm that there are amazing treats awaiting us and there are few tricks we cannot tackle.
