TORRINGTON CONCERTS: Torrington’s summer concerts have begun, and are held from 7-9 p.m. at Coe Memorial Park, Tuesdays and Fridays. No concert Aug. 14. TORRINGTON MARKET: The Torrington Farmers Market is open for season at St. Paul’s Church on Charles Street, Torrington, Tuesdays from 3-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and will continue weekly through October. Local farmers will have fresh produce, baked goods, honey, maple syrup, soaps, crafts, and other seasonal items for sale.

NEW HARTFORD: The Registrars of Voters of the Town of New Hartford will be in session on Tuesday, July 31, 1-3 p.m. at 530 Main St., New Hartford, for registrati­on and or enrollment of electors entitled to vote in the state primary to be held on Tuesday, Aug. 14. HARTLAND: Hartland Restrars of Voters will hold a primary voter registrati­on session July 31, 2-4 p.m. in Hartland Town Hall, 22 South Rd, East Hartland.

LITCHFIELD: The Litchfield Registrars of Voters will hold a voter registrati­on session on Tuesday, July 31, 4-6 p.m. in their office in the basement of the Litchfield Town Hall at 74 West Street, Litchfield. BARKHAMSTE­D: The Registrars of Voters for the Town of Barkhamste­d will be in session at the Barkhamste­d Town Hall on Tuesday, July 31, 1-3 p.m., to register vosters for the primary election in August. Anyone who is unsure of their voter status may call the Registrars at 860-738-4695 to verify that their name is on the voter list. New voters may also register during those hours. Party changes can also be done during this session.

WARREN: Warren’s registrars of voters will hold a voter registrati­on session on Tuesday, July 31 from 1 to 3 p.m. to enroll and register electors entitled to vote in the state primary scheduled for Aug. 14. LIFE OF SORROW: A Life of Sorrow: The Life & Times of Carter Stanley, performed by Gary Reid, will be held Tuesday, July 31, 7-8 p.m. at the Oliver Wolcott Library, Litchfield. Reid uses a mix of storytelli­ng and music to bring to life the saga of a Mountain Music Treasure. Library events are free and open to the public. Space is limited. LITCHFIELD SENIOR PICNIC: The annual Senior Picnic sponsored by Litchfield Parks and Recreation Department is set for noon on Thursday, August 2, 12 p.m. at the Litchfield Community Center, with food, fun, games and music provided by Entertainm­ent by Kevin. Admission to the picnic/dance is $10 per person, which includes hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, salads, watermelon, and soft drinks. CAMP MOE CARNIVAL: Camp MOE invites the community for an evening of fun for all ages, Aug. 2, 4:30-7 p.m. at 1145 Brandy Hill Road, Torrington with carnival games run by the camp counselors, a bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course, and a dunk tank. HARWINTON GOP BARBECUE: The Harwinton Republican Town Committee is holding its 3rd annual event – Bullets, BBQ, and Rock-n-Roll taking place Saturday Aug. 4 at the Harwinton Rod & Gun Club, 123 Campville Hill Road, Harwinton, from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $30 per person, $55 per couple, $20 for ages 13-17, and free for children. Range time fees are between $10 and $25.
