REXFORD - Betty Baker Brassard, 91, of Coburg Village in Rexford, NY peacefully­fully entered into eternal life on July 31, 2017.

Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 26, 1925, the daughter of Charles Baker and Ivy White Baker.

The family moved to Troy, NY, when she was a child. Betty was a graduate of Lansingbur­gh High School, Class of 1943.

Upon graduation, she was employed by Troy-Built Rototiller, followed by a 30 year career with WTEN in Albany.

On August 7, 1960, she married Leo Brassard in Loudonvill­e, NY. In 1982, they moved to beautiful Bolton Landing on Lake George where they lived until 2015. Betty loved to entertain family and friends att their home in Bolton Landing. She also enjoyed the thrill of Saratoga Race Course every August, rarely missing an opening day.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leo P. Brassard. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Michael Farnam (Sandra), Deborah Wright (David Holle), and Tracy Rufo (James). She was also the beloved “Nana” to 5 grandchild­ren, Daniel Farnam, Sean Farnam, Kaitlyn Farnam Bryant, Lindsey Wright Cossman and Mary Rufo and 10 great-grandchild­ren. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Clara Baker, niece Bonnie Baker,, nephenephe­w Charles Baker (Judy) and her dear friend and “BFF”, Diane Attey. She was predecease­d by her brother, Charles Baker.

Calling hours will be held at the White-Sanvidge Funeral Home, 58 Leversee Road (RT-40 in Speigletow­n), Troy, NY 12182 on Thursday, August 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m, Friday, August 4th at Transfigur­ation Parish (formerly St. Bonaventur­e’s Church) 50 Hillview Dr., Troy, NY 12182. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Troy.
