Jr. High Lady Chucks Track/Field busy in recent meets
PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney Lady Chucks Jr. High Track and Field team hosted DuBois and ECC on Monday, with DuBois (70) and ECC (57.5) placing first and second, respectively, while Punxsy placed third in the team standings (57.5).
The Punxsy 4x800meter relay team of Emalyn Conrad, Aerith Caracciolo, Quinn Homan and Marin Martino took first with a time of 11:34.51, while Evelynn Neale took first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.24.
In the 100-meter dash, Quinn Homan (13.31) took first, and Conrad (6:39.94) took second in the 1,600meter run. Also, the 4x100meter relay team of Chloe Bishop, Neale, Kilyn Haag and Lindsey Hollenbaugh placed first with a time of 58.25.
Homan (1:05.17) took first in the 400-meter dash, while Hollenbaugh (56.39) placed second in the 300-meter hurdles. Also, Martino (2:48.54) placed first in the 800-meter run, while Neale (29.54) placed second in the 200-meter run.
In the high jump,
Bishop (4-04) placed third, while Neale (14-03) took second in the long jump. Ella Burke (5-06) placed second in the pole vault, while Stevie Doverspike (64-04) took third in the javelin.
Prior to Monday’s meet, the Lady Chucks took part in the Johnsonburg Invite, where the girls took third with a team score of 74.
Neale took first in the 100-meter hurdles (17.74), while placing sixth in the 100-meter dash (14.64). Also, Martino took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:48.48, while Haag (1:00.74) took fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Homan placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.24, while taking first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.74. Also, Ella Burke (6-00) placed first in the pole vault.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Martino, Homan, Conrad and Caracciolo placed second (4:48.50), while the same group took first in the 4x800meter relay with a time of 11:52.
Also, Teagan Kennedy (5-06) took third in the pole vault, and Bishop took sixth in the high jump (4-00).
