Two women sitting in the back of a parked limousine in downtown Palm Beach were shocked Thursday when they realized the limousine they were seated in was being driven by a man they didn’t know.

About 11:40 p.m., Terri M. Price, 48, and friend Mercedes Joannidis, 50, were leaving Cucina Dell’Arte restaurant when a man, later identified as 55-year-old Anthony M. Almand, got into the driver’s seat and drove away against their will.

According to a Palm Beach Police report, Price said the man drove “erratically” and denied the women’s requests to pull over.

The limo is owned by Price’s boyfriend, Jim Glostolisi, who had allowed Price use of the vehicle.

When reached Monday afternoon, Price said the investigation was still ongoing and declined further comment.

Almand was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on Saturday after posting $20,000 bond.

He was charged with two counts of false imprisonment of an adult, grand theft of a motor vehicle and obstructing an officer without violence.

According to the report, Price said Almand stopped driving the vehicle near Meat Market Palm Beach, a third of a mile from where they started, exited the vehicle and walked away.

Price was able to locate and identify Almand inside Cucina Dell’Arte later Thursday night, the report.

Joannidis said in the report that she recognized Almand from earlier in the evening when he made several advances toward the two women.

When approached by an officer, Almand said he did not know about the stolen limousine and began to walk away.

He later admitted to the actions, saying he drove the vehicle away in an attempt to be “funny,” the report said.
