St. Andrew’s guard Anthony Polite was named PBgametime boys Player of the Week for his performance on the basketball court last week.
Polite, a junior, averaged 22.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.6 steals to lead the Scots to wins over American Heritage, Coconut Creek-North Broward Prep and Santaluces.
For the season, Polite is averaging 21.3 points and 8.7 rebounds. He eclipsed the 1,000-point career scoring mark in a win over Miami-Gulliver Prep Dec. 5. The No. 4-ranked Scots are 10-0.
Oxbridge Academy soccer forward Allison Breed earned PBgametime girls Player of the Week honors for helping lead the ThunderWolves past unbeaten Martin County on Friday night.
The sophomore scored both goals in Oxbridge’s 2-0 victory against the Tigers. Breed has 12 goals and two assists in eight games for No. 1-ranked Oxbridge, which is 6-0-3 on the season.
