Thomas ( Tom) C. Stradling, 60, of Aspen Lane, Hornell, NY, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Strong Memorial Medical Center in Rochester, NY. The son of William and Joyce Stradling; he was born July 21, 1960 in Cortland, NY. He was a graduate of Otselic Valley Central School (‘ 78) and then Erie Community College (‘ 80). Tom was an Optician for several years and most recently worked at Lowe’s in Hornell. He was very athletic, enjoyed sports, especially college basketball and shooting pool. He loved playing golf and participat­ed in the Barker Brook Golf Club - Member Guest Tournament since 1990. He was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church. In high school, he and his team won the Parochial Basketball League Championsh­ip.

Surviving are his parents, William and Joyce Stradling of Georgetown; a brother and sister- inlaw, William, Jr. and Cathryn Stradling of Georgetown; a sister and brother- in- law, Deborah and Jeffrey Newell of Pascoag, RI; nieces and nephews: Leanne Stradling of Baldwinsvi­lle; Will and Angela Stradling and son, Jack of Rexford, NY; Jennifer and Seth Leavitt and daughters, Caroline and Emilia of Cumberland, RI; Katie and Jon Chabot, daughter, Savannah and son, Carter of Lincoln, RI; David and Amanda Newell of Warwick, RI; Elizabeth Newell of Cumberland, RI; and Joshua Bardsley of Georgetown; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predecease­d by a sister, Donna Bardsley and a nephew, Matthew Bardsley. Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 2 - 4 PM, immediatel­y followed by the funeral service. Anyone attending in person must follow current COVID- 19 Pandemic Protocols by wearing a mask.
