Madison County supervisors race

-

On Nov. 5th the voters in Oneida Wards 1,2 and 3 will be casting their ballots for 2 positions for Madison County supervisor. Margaret Milman-Barris and John Nichols are the best choices to represent the people of Oneida. I know they will both do an excellent job. I have known each of them for many years.

Margaret Milman-Barris has had first-hand experience in local government having previously served as a Supervisor (appointed to fill a vacancy). She has served on the City Water Board, and served as a member of the Climate Action Committee. She is involved with social health agencies serving on the Board of the Celebration Children’s Center. I have observed Margaret to be a knowledgeable, thoughtful individual who seeks all the facts, listens to all opinions, asks the necessary questions, and weighs all the information before making a decision. As a geologist with a career in environmental consulting, Margaret has the expertise needed in policies, plans and programs dealing with this important issue all governments must address.

John Nichols is an experienced and accomplished leader having served as president of his teachers’ union. He is active in community programs such as American Legion Boys” State Program, and Odyssey of the Mind. He has coached soccer and volleyball, and has been involved in other school-based programs. I have witnessed his strong advocacy for persons with disabilities and for seniors. He has the time, knowledge and skills needed to be an effective leader and representative for the people of Oneida.

Margaret and John share common goals. They both are committed to making government more transparent and more open in communication with the people. They truly care about improving the quality of life for all residents. They are dedicated, honest, family individuals. Their past life actions are proof of their characters and abilities. I strongly urge you to vote for Margaret Milman-Barris and John Nichols for Madison County Supervisors in Wards 1.2.and 3. All the citizens of Madison County will benefit from their election to Supervisor.
