UTICA NOTRE DAME 56, ONEIDA 39 » A big night from the Sehrings lifted Notre Dame over Oneida in Tri-Valley League play. Emma Sehring netted 23 and Claire Sehring put in 21 as Notre Dame outscored Oneida 30-14 in the second half for the win in a clash between league heavyweigh­ts. Lauren Skibitski posted 10 points for Oneida in the loss.

VERNON-VERONA-SHERRILL 73, UTICA ACADEMY OF SCIENCE 52 » The Red Devils’ big men were at it again Tuesday night. Davey Moffett and Andrew Roden each posted a double-double to help lead VVS past Utica Academy of Science. Moffett netted a game-high 27 points to go with 11 rebounds while Andrew Roden recorded 15 points and hauled in 14 rebounds as VVS won 73-52. Nate Palmer, 15, and Jake Engler, 10, also reached double figures for coach Andy Cossette’s side.
