The CNY Veterans Outreach Center was formed to provide and conduct charitable educationa­l, social, and housing services for veterans and their families in need. The Veterans Outreach Center was developed by an Iraqi War veteran who realized there was a lack of services for veterans in Upstate New York. The center serves on average 300 veterans and their families a month. Other services available at the center include: food pantry, access to clothing and household items, outreach, internet access, advocacy and connection to VA benefits. Vernon

The American Legion Auxiliary William Russell Post 404 will meet at 6:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at the legion home, West Seneca Street. The Sons of Post 404 will meet at the Legion at 6:30 p.m. every second Monday of the month. The Legion Veterans will meet at Post 404 at 6:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month.
