Man chases Walmart security guard with knives Police seek suspects in possible homicide

A man was arrested early Sunday after police say he pulled out two knives and chased a Walmart security guard.

The security guard told police he saw the man identified as Edgar Reva Munoz, 28, trying to steal a watch at the Walmart, 3301 SW 104, about 1 a.m. Sunday.

The security guard said he told Munoz to leave the watch alone and he escorted him to the parking lot, according to an Oklahoma City police report.

Instead of leaving, Munoz pulled out two knives and charged the security guard, who ran back into the store.

Munoz chased the guard in the store and then walked into the parking lot outside.

A police officer who arrived saw Munoz and arrested him, according to the report.

Munoz was taken to the Oklahoma County jail and booked on a complaint of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

No one was hurt in the incident, police reported.

Man arrested in connection with stabbing

A man was arrested in connection with a Saturday night stabbing that left another man hospitaliz­ed, police reported.

Clarence Edward Brooks Jr., 63, of Oklahoma City, was arrested late Saturday on a complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

The victim, Oliver McKinley, was admitted to OU Medical Center, where he was treated for a large cut to his left side near his stomach, police reported.

Police responded to the 2300 block of NW 18 about 10:50 p.m. Saturday and found McKinley lying on a concrete area outside

an apartment complex entrance.

McKinley told an officer that his attacker was in an apartment nearby.

Police reported Brooks had an odor of alcohol and appeared intoxicate­d.

In a patrol car, Brooks told an officer that McKinley had jumped him and he stabbed him.

Brooks told an officer, "If someone jumps me, I'm gonna pay them back," according to a police report.

Woman shot while driving

A woman was shot and wounded while driving her car Sunday night in northwest Oklahoma City, police report.

Allie Lemmons, 22, suffered a non-life-threatenin­g gunshot wound about 9:55 p.m., police reported. Lemmons was westbound on NW 36, approachin­g Interstate 44, when someone in another vehicle pulled alongside the car and opened fire, police reported.

Lemmons was struck on the right side. She was taken to OU Medical Center, where she was treated.

Police have not made an arrest in the case.

Police are investigat­ing as a homicide the death of a man found inside a residence Saturday in southwest

Oklahoma City, and no one has been arrested, police reported. Ricardo Moreno Perez, 38, of Oklahoma City, was found dead about 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of SW 40 Place.

Perez was pronounced dead at the scene.

He had trauma to his body consistent with homicide.

No one has been arrested, police reported.
