DODGERS SET DATE FOR FIRST LOOK FANFEST

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Oklahoma City Dodgers’ First Look Fanfest is set for Saturday, March 26, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The second-year event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. and coincides with a high school baseball game between Coyle and Shidler at noon as part of the OKC Dodgers High School Baseball series.

With the event being a part of Easter weekend, the Dodgers are hosting an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. in the outfield for children 12 and under.

Other festivities include the inaugural Dodger Dog eating contest for fans 18 and over. But that will be limited to 10 participants each in men’s and women’s divisions. Each winner who eats the most in five minutes receives a trophy and gift certificate to the team store.

Participants for both the Easter egg hunt and Dodger Dog eating contest must register in advance online at www. okcdodgers.com.

Fans are offered a tour of the ballpark, which includes the home clubhouse, where fans can take batting practice in the team’s batting cage. They can also sample new food items from the upcoming season and also purchase ticket packages and pick their seats.

Both team mascots Brix and Brooklyn will attend, and several activities including inflatable games, a balloon artist, a face painter and a T-shirt design station will take place.

The Dodgers also have a panel of VIP guests to sign autographs and answer questions, but details will be announced at a later date.

The team is offering free parking in the Joe Carter Lot behind right field.
