Amy L. Lucci appointed trustee

Replaces Paul R. Malchesky who recently resigned

Concord Township once again has a complete governing board core.

Amy L. Lucci was recently appointed as township trustee, replacing Paul R. Malchesky who recently resigned the position after being elected judge of Painesvill­e Municipal Court Nov. 5.

Lucci will be sworn in on Dec. 27.

A 19-year resident of Concord Township, Lucci attended Mentor High School, later earning degrees in nursing from Bowling Green State University, Kaplan University and Chamberlai­n College of Nursing.

Lucci is currently a program manager with the

Cleveland

Clinic in clinical and surgical care along with being a nurse educator and conducting nursing research.

She recently served on the board of directors of the American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses and had volunteere­d in the community with Convoy of Hope and with the Cleveland Clinic Healing Services team.

“Amy is an outstandin­g trustee candidate and we are really pleased she will be on our board,” said Trustee Caroline “Connie” Luhta.

— appointed earlier this year when then-Trustee Christophe­r A. Galloway resigned after being appointed Lake County auditor — said Lucci will lend balance and poise to the new incoming board, which includes Morgan R. McIntosh, who was elected to Luhta’s seat in November.

Luhta, who’s served as trustee for 28 years, announced her retirement this year, effective Dec. 31.

“I’m honored to be a part of the team in my new role as trustee,” Lucci said. “I look forward to serving the residents of Concord Township.”

Lucci is married to Lake County Common Pleas Judge Eugene A. Lucci.
