Community depends on Lakeland; vote yes
As a 1983 Lakeland Community College graduate with an Associate’s Degree in what was called Data Processing back then, I give much credit to Lakeland for the success throughout my career. As a major organization in Lake County, Lakeland provides a foundation for this great community.
Lakeland is celebrating 50 years of providing students with knowledge, hope and confidence.
Issue 3 keeps Lakeland up-todate to enable our local workforce to be trained with the skills needed in key areas that directly benefit Lake County companies.
Issue 3 is especially focused on upgrading the engineering and manufacturing programs, both core to our Lake County economy.
Raising tuition is not the answer. In fact, the Ohio budgeting process recently froze tuition fiscal years 2017 and 2018. That helps keep education affordable for local families.
Issue 3 is a capital investment in the future of Lake County.
A recent economic analysis by EMSI found that for every dollar invested in education at Lakeland, the community sees a return of nearly $10.
Our community depends on Lakeland for high-quality education and training.
