Monsters notch win over Wolves
With a 35-30 shot advantage, the Monsters made the extra looks count, topping host Chicago, 5-2, on April 1.
Five Monsters scored, with Sam Vigneault notching a goal in the first period, Justin Scott and Ryan Craig lighing the lamp in the second and Zac Dalpe and Markus Hannikainen closing out the Cleveland scoring.
Goalie Anton Forsberg had 28 saves.

MCGRADY HEADLINES BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME CLASS >> Two-time NBA scoring champion Tracy McGrady, Kansas coach Bill Self, former Chicago Bulls executive Jerry Krause and former UConn star Rebecca Lobo are part of this year’s Basketball Hall of Fame class.
The Hall of Fame announced the 11-person class Saturday.
McGrady who went straight to the NBA from high school was a seventime NBA All-Star who played 15 years in the league. He had his best years with the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets before injuries limited his effectiveness.
He led the league in scoring while playing for the Magic in both the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons.
Self is one of six coaches to lead three different schools to the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight and led the Jayhawks to a national championship in 2008.
Krause, who died last month at 77, was the general manager during the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty in the 1990s. He was a twotime NBA executive of the year.
Others in the class include Notre Dame women’s coach Muffet McGraw, Texas high school coach Robert Hughes, former NCAA executive Tom Jernstedt, Harlem Globetrotters player, owner and CEO Mannie Jackson, former Globetrotters player Zack Clayton, former European star Nikos Galis and former NBA and ABA star George McGinnis.

2020 OLYMPIC MEDALS TO BE MADE OF RECYCLED MATERIAL >> Organizers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics have begun collecting discarded electronic devices that will be used in the production of the medals to be awarded to athletes.
Japanese Olympic swimmer Takeshi Matsuda and Paralympian Takuro Yamada attended a ceremony in downtown Tokyo on Saturday to kick off the campaign.
The organizing committee aims to collect eight tons of raw metal which will yield around two tons of pure metal, enough to produce 5,000 medals for the Tokyo Games.
Citizens are being asked to donate unwanted and obsolete electronic devices including smartphones, digital cameras and laptops.
