Thank you for supporting North Ridgeville levy

-

On behalf of the City of North Ridgeville, the Fire Department and its members, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the residents for their overwhelming support of Issue 11 – Ambulance and EMS renewal levy with a .5 mill increase.

This levy will continue to support the high quality emergency medical services that our Fire Department provides daily for our residents.

We are fortunate to have highly trained EMS personnel which earned us the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services accreditation which signifies that we have met the “gold standard” determined by the ambulance industry.

Our paramedic service became one of only six agencies in the State of Ohio to have earned this status.

In addition, our EMS service receives an American Heart Association Lifeline Achievement Award each year for our successful care of cardiac patients in the field.

This increase in millage will allow the Fire Department to fully staff three ambulances by hiring three additional firefighter/paramedics.

Currently only two of our three ambulances operate daily with three firefighter/paramedics.

The third ambulance is staffed with two firefighter/ paramedics.

Although two personnel can handle any first response to an emergency, we feel it is necessary to transport critically ill or potentially unstable patients with three firefighter/paramedics.

We greatly appreciate your confidence in our operations and will continue to be good stewards of your tax dollars as we provide the best possible emergency services.

Again, thank you for supporting our efforts in keeping our community safe. G. David Gillock, Mayor City of North Ridgeville John Reese, Chief North Ridgeville Fire Department
