Dennis Robert Wolfe

Dennis Robert Wolfe passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022 in Atlanta,

GA. He was born July 8, 1955 in Bethlehem to Joseph M. and

Marie M. (Weber) Wolfe. A graduate of Liberty High School, Dennis received his bachelors degree from Penn State University. Growing up he was a member of Bethany UCC, Bethlehem and was currently a member of Central Congregational UCC, Atlanta. He was an accountant, first for the U.S. Department of Agriculture/U.S. Forest Service and retired from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2018. During retirement, he and his wife, Beth, made numerous trips out west to many National Parks and Monuments. He especially loved going to Big Bend N.P. to enjoy seeing the Milky Way and constellations. He was proud to be a “National Park Junkie” and Route 66 fan. Dennis was involved with many activities around sports teams in Atlanta including the Atlanta United, Thrashers and Gladiators Hockey, Gwinnett Stripers, Georgia State Football, and SCCA. He was also a US Soccer (both men’s and women’s) and Manchester United fan. He made numerous friends around these activities. He was still a Philadelphia Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles fan. Dennis was a member of the Button Gwinnett Chapter/Sons of the American Revolution. He was much loved and will be terribly missed not only by his family but by all who knew him.

Dennis is preceded by his father, Joseph M., and survived by his mother, Marie W. Wolfe, his wife, Elizabeth A. (Bryan)Wolfe, a sister, Marcie A., and a daughter, Caroline M. (Carrie), along with numerous cousins and relatives. A memorial service will take place Saturday on May 7 at 11 a.m in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden St., Bethlehem, followed by interment in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
