Farmers market vouchers available

Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers will be offered to adults, 60 and older, in Northampton and Lehigh counties. The program provides $20 in free vouchers to eligible individuals and $40 for eligible couples for purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets. Total gross household income may not exceed $23,107 for a single person and $31,284 for married couples. Proof of age and residency required.

Northampton County vouchers will be distributed at the following locations:

Mid County Senior Center, 234 S. Walnut St., Bath, 9:30-11:15 a.m. June 3.

Northampton Senior Center, 902 Lincoln Ave., 9-11 a.m. June 4.

Old York Road, 720 Old York Road, Bethlehem, noon-2 p.m. June 10.

Nazareth Senior Center, 15 S. Wood St., 9-11 a.m. June 11.

Cherryville Senior Center, 4131 Lehigh Drive., 9-11 a.m. June 12.

Easton Area Community Center, 901 Washington St., 9-11 a.m. June 13.

Saucon Valley Community Center, 323 Northampton St., Hellertown, 9-11 a.m. June 17.

Hispanic Senior Center, 502 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, 9-11 a.m. June June 19.

Rooney Senior Center, 4 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, 9-11 a.m. June 20.

Northampton Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave., 2-3 p.m. June 20.

Easton Life Style Campus, 3201 Sullivan Trail, 12:30-2 p.m. June 24.

Slate Belt Senior Center, 707 American Bangor Road, Bangor, 1-3 p.m. June 25.

Easton Farmers Market, Centre Square, 10 a.m.-noon July 6 and July 13.

Northampton Farmers Market, Laubach Avenue and Smith Lane, 5-7 p.m. July 11.

VIC (Vegetables in the

Community), 325 Northampton St., Easton, 10 a.m.-noon July 13.

Bath Farmers Market, 350 Green St., 3:30-5:30 p.m. July 19.

Nazareth Farmers Market, Centre Square, 9-11 a.m. July 20.

Vouchers are also available at the Department of Human Services Building, 2801 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem Township, 8:30 a.m.-noon Tuesdays and 1-4:30 p.m. Thursdays, June 3 through Sept. 26, or until supply of vouchers is exhausted.

In Lehigh County, the vouchers will be distributed, while supplies last, at the Lehigh County Government Center’s Information and Referral Lobby, 17 S. Seventh St., Allentown, 9-11 a.m. Wednesdays beginning July 10. Use the Seventh Street entrance.
