POPE JOHN PAUL II 2, POTTSGROVE 1 » AJ Williams rewarded John Wagner’s brilliant goalkeepin­g in the final minute of regulation to give the Golden Panthers a Pioneer Athletic Conference Frontier Division victory over the Falcons.

Williams’ game-winner came with 48.4 seconds remaining on an assist from Jack Marinello. Wagner kept PJP in the game with 13-save goaltendin­g as Pottsgrove out-shot PJP 14-2.

PJP benefitted from an own goal in the first half before Ethan Pace, assisted by Mike Troutman, leveled the match with 13:48 remaining. SPRING-FORD 3, METHACTON 0» Evan Hang and Brandon Duke each figured in on pairs of goals in helping the Rams blank the Warriors in their PAC Liberty Division contest.

Hang and Duke scored and assisted on tallies — switching back and forth — as SF took a 2-0 halftime lead. The Rams’ insurance goal in the second half came when Brett Gulati hooked up with Colin Trainor on a cross in the 68th minute. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 3, NORRISTOWN 0 » The Vikings continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-0 win over the Eagles. PV (2-0, 3-0) got going in the second half when Sebastian Leyes fed Brian Love in the 43rd minute before Matt McCabe and Love scored in the 52nd and 61st minutes, respective­ly. Max Chamorro assisted on McCabe’s goal. PV led in shots 21-4. UPPER PERKIOMEN 2, UPPER MERION 1 » Goals from Cole Kendra and Kyle Shemeley gave Upper Perkiomen its first win of the season in a PAC Frontier matchup. Sam Tepe found the net for UM. PHOENIXVIL­LE 11, POTTSTOWN 0 » The Phantoms rolled to a PAC Frontier win on goals from Clay Kopko, Kyle Flick, Jefferson Zacarias (2), Keler Garcia Fuentes (2), Josh Carboy (2), Matt Rosenfeld (2), and Ryan Cowan. Assists were from Jake Perillo, Flick, Dylan Eliasson, Dominic Sposato (2), Teddy Burton, Gabriel Fittipaldi, and Garcia Fuentes.

POTTSGROVE 2, POPE JOHN PAUL II 1 » Skylar Glass’ goals in each half were enough to lift the Falcons past the Golden Panthers in a PAC Frontier game.

Lexi Zook and Hannah Phillips assisted on Glass’ goals while goalie Summer Walker made six saves. For PJP, Mary Kate Shannon scored via assist from Lainey Owens. Goalie Stacy Kormos had five stops. PHOENIXVIL­LE 5, POTTSTOWN 1 » Gabrielle Perrotto had a hat trick and Leeza Galli had a goal and an assist to lead Phoenixvil­le to a 5-1 win over Pottstown in PAC Frontier Division action.

Morgan Beatty also added a goal for the Phantoms (2-1-1 overall, 2-0-0 PAC Frontier Division), while Grazzia Dise-Carranza and Ella Stout combine to make three saves in goal.

Calista Daye accounted for Pottstown’s lone goal. Goalie Emme Wolfel had nine saves. OWEN J. ROBERTS 2, BOYERTOWN 0 » Sarah Kopec and Veronica Roach scored firsthalf goals to give the Wildcats a PAC Liberty win that was called with 11:39 to play due to lightning. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 9, NORRISTOWN 0 » Madison Rheel, Maggie Sell and Courtney Lawson headed the Vikings’ potent offense as they rolled the Eagles in PAC Liberty Division play.

Rheel, Sell (two assists) each scored twice for PV en route to a 6-0 first-half advantage. Nikki FollerMoll, Joanna Gorrell and Kat Kelly added solo tallies while Cassidy Polignano had four assists of her own. UPPER PERKIOMEN 2, UPPER MERION 0 » The Tribe scored in each half and Hannah Landis handled all four shots she faced in a PAC Frontier win.

Upper Perk got an early goal from Bryanna Marinari (Kaitlyn Mundy assist) and added an insurance score in the 60th minute by Samantha Kozminski (Hannah Keeney assist). Jordyn Skidds made 11 saves for Upper Merion.

Field hockey

POTTSGROVE 4, POPE JOHN PAUL II 2 » Riley Simon struck twice with five minutes to play as part of her three-goal day to lift Pottsgrove to its first PAC win of the season.

Lydia Mace also scored for the Falcons (2-1-1) while assists came from Justine Fretz, Bailey Murphy and Kathryn Henriksen. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 14, NORRISTOWN 0 » The Vikings got multi-point performanc­es from Kelly Battinger, Bryn Marcavage, Bella Ricci and Maya Fulmer in a one-sided PAC win over the Eagles. OWEN J. ROBERTS 8, BOYERTOWN 0 » Jenna Kirby handled half the scoring as her four goals led the Wildcats to a PAC win. Other OJR scorers were Maddi Koury, Olivia Leclaire, Raina Smolij and Julia Lamb while Eloise Gebert and Bridget Gallagher had assists. UPPER PERKIOMEN 10, UPPER MERION 0 » Abriana Gatto and Morgan Fiorito each had a hat trick while Micheala Greczek (2G, 1A) and AiYi Young (1G, 1A) rounded out the scoring in Upper Perkiomen’s PAC win.

WESTTOWN 3, PERKIOMEN SCHOOL 2 » A sweep of the doubles bracket made the difference for Westtown School as it edged the Panthers in their Tri-County League match.

Perkiomen’s wins came from Julia Kelly (6-2, 6-0) at first singles and Charlotte Kopp (7-5, 6-0) at third singles.

Girls volleyball

Emma Eglinton’s achievemen­t of a personal milestone was part of the Vikings’ PAC sweep of the Warriors. PV won by set scores of 27-25, 25-21 and 25-15.

Eglinton reached the 1,000-assist mark for the Vikes, who got 13 kills, two aces and two blocks from Sarah Straub. Isabel Clauhs added seven kills and 11 digs, and Liz Caruso set the tone defensivel­y with 18 digs. UPPER MERION 3, OWEN J. ROBERTS 0 » Gail Tamburro and Jordyn Chambers were the statistica­l stars as the Vikings blanked the Wildcats in their PAC match. UM won by set scores of 25-14, 2512 and 25-16.

Tamburro had six kills, one assist, two blocks and one dig while Chambers added nine assists, one block and three digs. Michelle Frank chipped in with two kills, one assist, one block and five digs; and Mikayla Johnson added seven kills. BOYERTOWN 3, NORRISTOWN 0 » The Bears won in straight sets, 25-8, 2515 and 25-17. For the Bears (2-0, 3-1), Emily Wolfe (4 aces, 8 kills and 3 blocks), Emma Ludwig (7 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks and 11 assists), Julia Smith (11 digs) and Taylor Jones (8 assist, 3 aces and 4 kills) led the way. PERKIOMEN SCHOOL 3, GEORGE SCHOOL 0 » Perkiomen swept its opener, 25-14, 25-13, 25-22. Henielys Ramos had nine service aces.
